Feb. 22, 2025 (Sat.) AACA SOCAL AND FRIENDS. We are invited to visit the fine Browning Collection in Cerritos. You will see restored automobiles, furniture, radios, broadcasting memorabilia, phonographs, etc. Plan on a 9:15 am arrival for check in for collector cars (special parking). 9:30 am daily driver check in.Our private, guided, 2 hour tour starts promptly at 10:00 am By reservations only. March 16, 2025 (Sun.) AACA SOCAL Trains at Griffith Park Invitational Party for a very limited number of our members displaying collector cars. 9:30 - 10:00 am car placement on the interior driveway and on the grass. 11:00 am The Disney Barn Opens and the Train Rides begin. WE ARE IN THE PLANNING STAGES OF THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF ROUTE 66, at one time called the WILL ROGERS HIGHWAY, which will be in 2026 ending at the Santa Monica Pier with 50 of our AACA SOCAL AND FRIENDS antique, collector and classic automobiles.  It would be helpful if you could let us know what you have that can be used in this future major Route 66 event.  Will Rogers Highway 100th Anniversary 2026 Update: It was sad to hear that the Will Rogers Home, which we were fortunate to visit, burned down during the Pacific Palisades fire. Route 66 was anointed on November 11, 1926, but it would take until 1938 before the entire route was paved with concrete. It quickly became one of the nation’s principal east-west routes, not only connecting small rural towns to each other but also connecting Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles via the nation’s first all-weather road.
